Disaster Recovery Services
In order to provide a total disaster recovery solution Hosted Continuity provides the services listed below. As each client case is different a solution may only require one or some of these services. Hosted Continuity prides itself on understanding the client environment and providing a disaster recovery solution to suit their circumstances.
Managed Disaster Recovery More than just back up, disaster recovery involves the provisioning of alternative means of operation as well as the rebuild process. The benefit of engaging Hosted Continuity is that throughout the process you will have a trusted partner to guide and provide for you at every stage of recovery. This end to end approach from replication to failover through to rebuild and return to business as usual is facilitated in every solution we provide.
Off-site back-up
The most rudimentary part of ensuring business continuity is to ensure that all your intellectual property is backed up. That is of course unless those back ups are stored on site. The foundation of our disaster recovery solution is our ability to replicate your entire environment off site in real time. This ensures that the most up to the moment information is retained as well as removing the dependency of intervention.
Appliance based local recovery In the event of a disaster the critical factor is time. Time that the last back up was taken, time to be able to restore functionality, time to repair the system. With a local appliance approach Hosted Continuity is able to mitigate the variables associated with recovery time. Our appliances enable a fully functioning replacement server to be up and running in under 30 minutes. This ensures that you are able to continue to operate, send and receive emails, update data, create new business all while you primary system is not operational.
Business Continuity Planning It is an excellent step to have a functional disaster recovery solution. This is only a part of true business continuity. Hosted continuity recognises this and while our prime capability is in the provision of a managed disaster recovery service we do not ignore its place in the broader planning process. We have several avenues available to us and our clients to be able to assist in the creation or modification of a full business continuity plan that can incorporate our disaster recovery solution.
Hot seating In creating a solution for disaster recovery it is important to consider the ‘what if’ scenarios. For example what if you cannot access your building? This is where the true recovery aspect of the Hosted Continuity solution comes to the fore. At our premises we have on offer up to 100 hot seats, desk, chair, computer, phones, and fax readily available. The best part is those computers can be configured to your own standard operating environment, as though you were at your own desk.
Infrastructure hosting In order to provision the replication and offsite storage in the manner we do Hosted Continuity has a wealth of knowledge in the remote infrastructure and storage environment. This positions us to be able to advise clients on the best possible answers to their often costly infrastructure solutions. If remote facilities are an existing feature of your IT environment we are able to add an additional layer of redundancy with our solution.
